Apple Cider Barbecue Ribs

Ingredients for the Ribs:

  • 1 Rack of St. Louis or baby back ribs
  • ¼ Cup brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. paprika
  • ½ Tbsp. black pepper
  • ½ Tbsp. salt
  • ½ Tbsp. chili powder
  • ½ Tbsp. garlic powder
  • ½ Tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 Onion diced
  • 1 Cup Spiced Apple Cider Concentrate
  • 7 Cups water

Preheat your over to 250o F. Line a deep roasting pan with aluminum foil and place the ribs inside. In a small bowl mix together the brown sugar, paprika, black pepper, salt, chili powder, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper to make your spice rub. Set aside two Tbsp. of this mix for later and massage the remaining rub all over the ribs. Place foil over the ribs and put in the over for an hour. After an hour add the onion, Spiced Apple Cider Concentrate, and water. Recover with foil and cook for another 2-3 hours until tender. After baking, remove the ribs from the pan and grill over medium heat for 15 minutes while regularly applying BBQ Sauce.

Ingredients for Apple Cider BBQ Sauce:

  • 1/3 Cup ketchup
  • ¼ Cup Spiced Apple Cider Concentrate
  • 2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. reserved rib rub

Combine all the ingredients in a small sauce pot and heat while whisking, until sugars have dissolved.
